We had a very old pipe that was leaking inside the wall and needed to be replaced; a challenging task, but Rob came quickly and saved the day. Rob is clearly a very experienced and knowledgeable plumber. He responded quickly to our request and did not leave until the problem was fixed. my handle for my flushometer had a problem. other plumbers instantly said they needed to replace the whole flushometer. this guy said oh, its probably just the handle FIRST before saying replacement. Felt like he knew what I needed and didnt take advantage of my inexperience. fairly priced, picked up parts needed and fixed my issue in 10 mins. My mom is super happy with the service. 1000000% would recommend to any inexperienced person with plumbing issues. did not do same day but thats understandable when they busy and as it wasnt a leaking issue it was not an emergency.

We’re on the Upper West Side and we’ve had trouble finding a good plumber who’s willing to come into Manhattan at all, let alone promptly and at reasonable rates. Rob’s installed two faucets for us (one indoor, one outdoor) and replaced a stubborn radiator valve that had welded itself to the piping under the floor, a much bigger job than expected. (This last job, I should mention, had to be done after another plumber, from Gateway in Bklyn, had just tightened the valve a bit and assured us that it was fine.) Rob’s a good guy, skillful, punctual and reliable. We have him in mind to replace our new kitchen faucet as well if it ever gets delivered…🙄

I had a hole in one of my pipes behind the wall of the kitchen sink causing a leak that was dripping into the basement apartment of my home. The house is over 40 years old and the pipe wound up being corroded. Two previous plumbers had also failed to detect the issue. I was desperate to resolve this plumbing issue and came across Astoria Plumbers. I called the number and got a prompt response from Rob. He set up a free estimate and detected the leak and replaced the pipe the very next day. He was beyond professional and took the time to thoroughly explain the issue and potential fixes. He also quoted a very good price. I am so thankful to Rob. Will definitely reach out to him again if I have any future plumbing issues!

I Highly recommend!! The plumber I was going to use canceled on me twice. And so I got fed up and did a google search. I live is Astoria so when I saw the amazing reviews on google I took a chance. I’m so happy that I choose to use Astoria Plumbers!! Rob was super accommodating I called him at 4:45pm since my first choice of a plumber canceled twice on me. I really needed the hot water cut off valve under the kitchen sink to be replaced that led to a broken dishwasher that was leaking. The valve was not working so when I went to use my dishwasher that broke it was just a leaky mess. He said he had an opening for the next day in the afternoon and I ask him if he could maybe squeeze me in for that night and literally he came at 7pm that same day! He was punctual and respectful when I had ask him to wear a mask in the house since because of an elderly parent. I even asked him to text me when he was outside since someone was taking a nap and he was very respectful to the amount of noise he made during the job. He was very polite he knew exactly what he was doing. I sent him a photo and he brought all his tools and the materials he needed for the job. And when there was water on the floor he cleaned it up right away. I will be calling him whenever I need a plumber and I will be recommending him to all my friends and family. I took a chance on a random company and I couldn’t be more happy with the service I received! I’m so happy I could use my hot water now!! Thank you Rob!!!

Very happy with my experience. I received a quick and clear estimate for the work, with no ambiguity into when service was available. When Rob arrived, he got down to work, fixed the problem, and made sure everything was clean and organized on his way out. Simple, friendly service and I was appreciative of how easy it all was. I will definitely use them again if I have needs in the future.

Had to service an apartment for my tenant and Rob was great. Upfront on pricing and transparent, didn't try to upsell or fabricate issues like some other plumbers I contacted and was available in 30 minutes to help out.

We've had a number of different contractors through who tried & failed to resolve an issue with the drainage line of our AC unit. The wall unit runs for a while but then water begins pouring out of the front of the unit, down the wall :( My wife found Rob, noting he was British (as am I) on here so we gave him a call. He answered my call immediately and we booked in a time within 48 hours for him to come round. It took about 5 minutes for Rob to diagnose the root cause of the issue, namely that an incredibly narrow (not up to code) hose was used for the last portion of the drainage line which had become clogged and backed up. He drained the water, switched out the hose for a code suitable diameter and we are back in business, just in time for the heatwave. Lovely chap, experienced plumber. Would highly recommend!! Astoria needs more contractors like Rob!
